What lock repair is

Sliding doors use a latch or mortise lock that hooks into a keeper on the frame. These wear, misalign, or break, and a door that has dropped out of adjustment often won't lock at all. We repair or replace the lock hardware and realign the door so it secures properly.

Common symptoms

• The door won't lock or the lock feels loose
• The latch misses the keeper or won't catch
• The lock is stiff, sticky, or spins freely
• The door has dropped and no longer lines up to lock

• Door alignment and height (a dropped door often won't lock)
