The most common call we get. A heavy, stuck, or grinding sliding door is almost always worn rollers plus a salt-and-sand-fouled track — fixable, usually in one visit.
When a slider gets hard to move or loud, the cause is nearly always at the bottom: worn rollers, a dirty or damaged track, or a door that has dropped out of adjustment. We diagnose the real cause and fix it — rather than replacing a door that doesn't need it.
Common symptoms
You have to fight to open or close it
It grinds, screeches, or thumps when it moves
It catches, drags, or jumps the track
It is so stuck it barely moves at all
What we check
Rollers — worn, seized, or wrong load rating
The track — fouling, wear, or damage
Door alignment and height in the frame
Lock/handle line-up after adjustment
We replace rollers, clean and repair the track, and realign the door so it glides smoothly and quietly again.
